As HR Manager Western Europe, you act as the strategic partner to our regional leadership teams and are responsible for developing and delivering the HR strategy for the Netherlands, Belgium and France. You translate organisational goals into effective HR initiatives that support sustainable growth, innovation and a strong, future‑proof culture. With your vision and international experience, you elevate the HR function and safeguard a consistent, high‑quality employee experience across all regions.
Your Role
You lead the HR teams in the Netherlands, Belgium and France, are a member of the Western Europe Management Team, and work closely with Global Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Hilti Group. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing regional HR strategies aligned with the global vision;
- Advising leadership teams on organisational culture, leadership development, organisational design, workforce planning and performance management;
- Leading, coaching and developing local HR Business Partners and recruiters;
- Strengthening diversity, inclusion and employee engagement through targeted programs;
- Driving HR digitalisation and analytics to enable data‑driven decision‑making;
- Ensuring compliance and effectively managing HR risks across three countries;
- Coordinating international mobility and cross‑border collaboration;
- Leading change initiatives and strategic transformation programs.

A Day in the Role
In this role, you continually operate at a strategic level and across borders. You begin the day aligning with the Managing Director France on the latest insights from the strategic HR annual plan. Next, you connect with the Hilti Group to discuss the harmonisation of global talent programmes and assess the impact for Western Europe. Later, you challenge the Western Europe MT on workforce‑planning scenarios for 2028, linking organisational goals to talent needs and key organisational risks. You end the day with a regional session with your HR teams to define quarterly priorities and ensure that initiatives align with the maturity, context and strategic focus areas of each country.

Professionalizing three HR organisations at different maturity levels: the HR teams in FR, BE and NL operate at varying levels of maturity. You provide direction, structure and a unified regional approach that ensures global consistency while respecting local needs.
Building regional workforce‑planning and talent strategies: with ambitious growth plans and a competitive labour market, you develop a multi‑year workforce and talent strategy that directly supports international expansion and long‑term business performance.
What You Bring
- A Master’s degree in HRM, Business Administration or a related field;
- A minimum of 10 years’ HR experience, including at least 3 years in an international leadership role;
- Experience in technology‑driven and digital environments;
- Strong expertise in change management, workforce planning and leadership development;
- Excellent stakeholder‑management, influencing and communication skills;
- Fluency in English and Dutch (or willingness to learn Dutch);
- Willingness to travel regularly within Western Europe;
- Willing and prepared to relocate internationally as a required next career step.
